You still were able to get the picture though. It's 2009 so there are lots of image manipulation programs where you can adjust to original to your liking. Taking your own picture can be difficult. I found out some good ways to hold the camera through trial and error. It's definitely not a fun thing to do.
This picture of you two doesn't look so bad. I would trim down the top to minimize the head room and then no one would ever know!! LOL
