International Bloggers' Day for Burma on the 4th of October

International bloggers are preparing an action to support the peaceful revolution in Burma. We want to set a sign for freedom and show our sympathy for these people who are fighting their cruel regime without weapons. These Bloggers are planning to refrain from posting to their blogs on October 4 and just put up one Banner then, underlined with the words „Free Burma!“.

Very cool, re: the 10/4 banner action.

I'll put it up, but I'll probably blog other stuff about Burma on that day also.

Re: the non-violent nature of the opposition - if this current path gets the Burmese people nowhere re: their goal of democracy, they just might have to resort to violence, sometimes that's the only language military dictators can understand.

But maybe it won't come to that. Specially if the world pushes the generals to stop being so evil & idiotic & self-distructive.

Either way, the days of the junta will soon be over, I think. It ain't 1988 no more :)
