Filmmaker article on day jobs

I was going to write "day job hell" but day jobs, even though they take time & energy away from film projects, makes those same projects possible - so, I guess sometimes an annoying friend of indie filmmakers. Check out Filmmaker Mag's article on indie filmmakers & day jobs.

I guess it depends on what type of day jobs independent filmmakers have when trying to figure out if that type of setup is helpful or harmful to the filmmaking process.

The day job that I had in recent years took over my life and I didn't make anything during that time because I was always tired and stressed and financially strained so it was not a benefit to any of my filmmaking goals.

I still do agree that day jobs can work depending on the situation since everyones circumstances are unique.
