photo by sujewa ekanayake, 9/1/10A man took several hostages at the Discovery Channel headquarters in Silver Spring, MD today. Town center was shut down while the police tried to solve the situation. The photo above is from around 3 PM, just a block away from the Discovery building (if you look carefully on the top left you can see the blue Discovery sign). Ultimately the hostage taker was killed, all the hostages were rescued w/ out any harm to them (that's the latest I heard on the news).
