Amazon's guide to bar codes, with a list of bar code production companies

This page on Amazon will be useful to any filmmaker thinking about creating their own DVDs for sale on or through Amazon. I believe most commercial DVD duplicators offer bar codes for an additional fee, however, if you have DVDs already made w/ out bar codes or you make a whole bunch of DVDs at home & you want to get bar codes for them, the Amazon page should provide some useful info. :: ADVERTISEMENT NYC Real Estate Blog 1: http://nycrealestate1.blogspot.com/ By Licensed Real Estate Salesperson Sujewa Ekanayake ::

NYT article: "...the average production cost of a feature film submitted to Sundance is roughly $1 million..." (???)

Without knowing much about that $ figure, my first reaction is that it sounds way too high. From this New York Times article : "At some point, however, anything is better than nothing. By Mr. Sapan’s estimation, the average production cost of a feature film submitted to Sundance is roughly $1 million, which would put the total cost of films submitted this year at about $3.7 billion. Only about $120 million worth make the schedule, and of those less than $30 million worth will find their way to market through the traditional system." Yup, I think there is enough interesting material for a book or a doc

So, my latest thought re: race theory is that: 1) it was very useful for the wealth building - ultimately - projects carried out by certain European companies & countries - through colonialism, conquest of new lands, & slavery, however, 2) in a post-colonial, post-slavery world, & one without complete dismantling of race theory (partially because race theory was developed into something like a living entity - a "truth" in the world/something that everyone responded to as if real though it was build on many lies/fiction/un-truths - let's say - from over 600 years of usage & refinement) there exists some very unique, sometimes hilarious, and often sad, unnecessary misery & situations that comes out of these ghosts - the ideas that are still alive even though the projects that the ideas were used to support: conquest of land & people, colonialism & slavery have been shut down for somewhere around a century or more to a little over 50 years in vari

Is this from a different part of the indie film future? Quad Cinema's Four Wall plan looks pretty sweet

Of course I do not know what Quad Cinema charges for their four wall services , but the entire menu is available: screenings in a NYC theater, access to publicists (for a fee), a DVD sales option, an online streaming option, & possibly getting "a shot" at screening at other theaters nation wide. Sounds like (or at least a very good starting point for) an ideal option for DIY filmmakers/self-distributors (who have or can raise the necessary money) who do not want to go through several layers of indie film/film biz/scene gate keepers (who have historically been a small group with narrow tastes, thus not accessible to most indie filmmakers in America) in order to get their film out to the public using pretty much all of the commercial methods available at present. More info. at the Quad's site . :: Now, on to a vastly different, very slightly related, subject; a different part of the future: Re: the different part of the future segment on the subject line - that
