New courtroom drama type movie coming from Sujewa Ekanayake in 2028-29 - The Decision To Use Nuclear Weapons On Japan

As I announced earlier today on Twitter/X, I've decided to make a courtroom drama type (historical re-enactment) movie about the decision to use nuclear weapons on Japan - working title: The Decision To Use Nuclear Weapons On Japan.  It will be a very realistic movie - sticking close to documented historical facts about the event.  Real photos and film footage of the Japanese war crimes will be used at the start of the movie, and at the end of the movie real footage and photos from the aftermath of the bombing of Japan will be used. The opening and closing segments of the movie may be difficult for many viewers to watch. However, as an important historical moment, the decision making process regarding the use of the bombs may be an interesting and dramatic set of events for current and future generations to watch.  The bombings were unprecedented events in the long history of humanity - and my goal is to take a look at the realistic details behind the decision. The movie will most likely be done and out in 2028 or 2029.  It will feature some well known actors.  Most likely the budget will be in the $10 million range (however, as is my usual practice, budgets and box office figures will not be used for promoting the movie - specially this movie - a serious and somber topic - not a film numbers competition).

My other projects for the near future are: the release of 53 Spaceships movie 1 very soon in 2026 (that movie will go on a 2 year theatrical release project), and the making and release of subsequent 53 Spaceships movies - starting with movies number 2 and 3 - in 2026.  Those projects are fast projects, the Decision movie is a longer term project.  I am working on the script for the Decision movie now.
